The construction has been completed at a 54-storey building for China Central Television (CCTV). This $ 1.08 Billion undertaking is the first of approximately 300 projects to be completed in Beijing’s Central Business District. The project consists of two leaning towers which rise from a common platform, and meet at the top by a 75 meter long cantilever. The building will provide a central location for all processes related to TV production. The exterior shows a web of diagonal structural members which become dense in areas of greater stress, and move farther apart in areas of less stress. They provide a visual representation of structural stresses in the building.
